I have a L5A and I had problems with the finish in that there was phonographing and a micro vibration. It turned out to be a single phase motor issue and when I went to a 3ph motor I had an excellent finish so all is good now. I warm up the machine to allow for oil circulation at lower rpms and the turn up the VFD to 50-60 Hz and I get about 1200 rpm on this machine with no other problems. Also with the VFD and a 1 hp motor I can run 110V in and operate the 220/3Ph motor. ![]() The 1 hp gives me all I need on this size of machine.
